Daily restart and server wars

The server is scheduled to restart at 3:30am Pacific time every night. However, the last save before this restart occurs at 3:00am. This means that for half an hour anything done, even the creation of new characters is not saved. This is a good opportunity to test things such as house placement, or how well you do killing your neighbor.
